Sarah Lieu Truong

Wife of Tran Mai - Saigon
June 2005

Together with her husband, Tran Mai of Saigon, they pastored a registered church in Danang, Vietnam. After being filled with the Holy Spirit, they evangelized openly (which is illegal), and were expelled from their church.

They began to minister in homes seeing amazing results. As a consequence, Mai spent two and half years in prison, 6 months of which he was confined to a covered, 5'x5' hole in the ground: punishment for refusing to stop sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. During this period, their ministry continued to expand under the direction of Sarah, and now consists of 75,000 members nation wide, including Cambodia and Laos. They have reached 27 of the 64 tribes of Vietnam, translating the New Testament into various languages.
