Testimonies of Miracles from Brent & Suzanne Lokker’s trip to Brazil
September 2003


A team of 37 American Christians from all walks of life went to Brazil to see God do the impossible through us in the name of Jesus. We went with Global Awakening under the leadership of Randy Clark. In one week, this team saw over 2,000 people receive miraculous healings, nearly 500 people being set free from bondages and past wounds, and over 700 people come into the Kingdom as they said “Yes!” to God’s gift of grace through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Here are a few of the stories that Brent & Suzanne were a part of as God powerfully and lovingly touching one life after another.

Child run over by car is healed - Brent and Suzanne 09.03

A woman who was distraught asked for prayer because her husband had accidentally run over a little boy with his car. The boy was in the hospital with trauma to his head and the woman asking for prayer was in tears because everybody was torn up about it. We prayed for the Holy Spirit to fall upon that boy right where he was and raise him up. The following night I heard from our translator that the woman came the same night but we had already left. She came back to tell us that her husband called her form the hospital to say that the trauma to the boy's head immediately disappeared at the same time that we prayed and that the little boy was fine! Thank you Jesus!

Hearing loss from childhood restored - Brent Lokker 09.01.03

Idelma, a woman in probably her mid to late 20s, had stood up when a word of knowledge was given about someone "losing your hearing in your right ear due to infection you had when you were a child." Idelma had gotten an infection when she was 12 years old and her hearing was affected. When she came up for prayer (in my line) she had only regained 40% of her hearing and she wanted all of it! So we began to pray for the healing to be completed. I took my hand off of her ear and we asked id she felt anything. She said she felt as if there were an anesthetic in there. So we prayed some more. I removed my hand again, and then asked if she felt anything. She said it was somewhat better. We tried to clarify "50% to 60%?" But she said that hearing was going in and out in that ear (we were snapping our fingers around her head). We prayed one more time then checked again. She covered one ear then the next and at first her response was simply, "Its normal." We (my interpreter and I) said really? And then we started praising the Lord. A woman who was completely deaf in one ear was 100% healed in two days!! We got excited and she was even more excited and was able to share her testimony on stage!

Freedom from depression - Suzanne Lokker 09.02.03

Isabela struggled with depression since her parents had divorced. In her depression, she had pulled out her eyelashes and eyebrows. Her eyelashes had grown back but her eyebrows never did (she just drew them in with a pencil). She came forward to ask that the Lord would grow back her eyebrows. It was obvious that she had much shame and self-condemnation, so we began to speak the truth of what her Father in heaven thought of her and how crazy in love with her He really is. We prayed the blessing of the Father over her and broke off her shame with our authority in Jesus. As we prayed for her eyebrows, I knew that I knew that the Lord was already restoring them because He was pouring out His love all over her. The next morning (less than 12 hours later!) when we went back to the church Isabela came up to me along with her mother. They were SO excited and showed me the hair that was already growing in!! She asked me to pray again because she wanted to hear the words of affirmation from the Father again. The Lord LOVES people so much!!!

Stomach cancer patient healed - Brent Lokker 09.02.03

We were asked to pray for Vinicio Pederneiras Pimenta da Viega, the grandson of a high Brazilian government official. A team of four of us (Brent, Suzanne, Eddie, & Juliana) went to a hospital in Goiania to pray with Vinicio, a 35 year-old man who had cancer that had eaten away his stomach (part of it was already removed) and had now entered his spine. He was so sick that he was unable to swallow his own saliva. When we got there, Vinicio was a shell of a man with pasty, pale skin and sunken into his bed. He weakly greeted us. His wife, Jamile, was there--a woman of great faith who had believed God for his healing. We shared some of the wonderful testimonies of God's miraculous power and then we talked with him about how the Lord wants to heal him because of His great love for Vinicio. Then we prayed for healing. He felt the fire of God in his stomach and also felt great peace. We then asked him if he had ever received Jesus as his Lord. He said, "Up until now, no." I asked, "Do you want to?" He said, "Yes!" So, I led him in a prayer to receive Jesus and to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

His wife, who had been crying out for his salvation for years, was weeping with joy as he was praying. By the time with left, about 30-45 minutes later, his countenance had completely changed. His color was much better and he got up and gave us all hugs before we left! The next day I received a call that Vinicio was home, not because the hospital sent him home to die, but because he had told his wife, "Jesus has healed me! Let's go home!" I talked with Vinicio and found out that several hours after we left, he was eating food! He said that he was feeling so much better and expecting that he would be feeling better everyday. He said that when we prayed, his wife felt the angels in his hospital room. He also told us that he would come to America to share his testimony of God's miraculous healing with us. Jesus, to You we give ALL the glory!!!

Spinal cord injury healed - Brent & Suzanne Lokker 09.06.03

I prayed for a man in a wheelchair named Jovan who was about 70 years old and was paralyzed from the waist down due to a severed spinal cord from an automobile accident that had crushed his 3rd, 4th, & 5th vertebrae six years earlier. Placing my hand on the damaged vertebrae, we began to pray. Within a short time, wave after wave after wave of the most intense spiritual fire I have ever felt was surging forth into Jovan’s body. He told us that he felt the fire of God inside of his spine! After about ten minutes of this, I asked him to try and move his foot. Immediately he moved one foot a few inches and then the other!! Just to be sure I asked him again, “When was the last time you were able to do this.” He told me again that his spinal cord had been severed six years earlier in an accident that he had never moved anything below his waist since that time.

The waves of the Holy Spirit’s power continued to come and over the next thirty minutes, he went from moving his feet inches to lifting them up a foot or two as well as lifting his knees up. As this was happening I said to myself, “GOD, YOU ARE DOING THE IMPOSSIBLE RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY EYES!” After six years, his spinal cord was miraculously re-connected and the nerves were taking messages from his brain to his feet!!! We asked him if he wanted to try standing up and he explained that he was afraid because in the accident his hip had been crushed and he didn’t think it could hold his weight. So, we laid hands on his hip and he instantly felt the healing fire of God touching him in his hip. He was ready to stand.

We helped him up and held part of his weight as his legs were wobbly due to the atrophy in his muscles. When he sat back down, he was SO excited saying, “I felt weight on my feet for the first time in six years and my hip had no pain at all!!” We found out that this man had accepted Jesus earlier in the evening and so he said to us, “The Lord has saved my life twice—once six years ago in the accident and again tonight!” We let him know that the Lord had a great destiny for the rest of his life and that he was going to do for others what we were doing for him by the authority of JESUS!!

Healing anointing brought home - Brent Lokker 09.05.03

Since we have been back, there has been a noticeable and dramatic increase in the healing anointing that is flowing out on the streets of Dublin and San Francisco on Friday nights. Every Friday night people are getting healed and coming to Jesus!!
